You can make a difference for these local families. Please join us in this chip-timed\, family-friendly 5K run/ 2K walk to feed our hungry neighbors! \n\n?Since 1999\, Neighborhood Food Pantries has provided food security to our neighbors in need. Funds raised from this 5K event will be used to help us reach our 2022 goal to provide over 2 million meals!\n\n?We are offering a 5K chip-timed run (eligible for time awards overall and by age group)\, as well as a 2K family walk.\n\nAll participants (virtual or in-person) will receive the same event t-shirt\, finisher medal and other items\, but ONLY IN-PERSON PARTICIPANTS are eligible for time awards.\n\nWe will continue to offer a virtual event for those who cannot make the August 6th date\, or who prefer to participate in a smaller group or alternate location. This event is similar to our in-person event\, but participants will complete their walk/run anywhere they choose in your neighborhood\, at a local park\, or on your treadmill! All virtual participants will receive the race t-shirt and finisher medal\, but will not be eligible for time awards. (Note: T-shirts and race packet must be picked up at Dick Pond Athletics on Carol Stream no packets will be mailed).\n\nRegistration and race start / finish: Mallard Lake Forest Preserve\, Bloomingdale/Hanover Park\, IL\n\nREGISTER NOW!!\n\n?Participant medals will be given to all who finish the event.\n\n \n\n500 Meter Kids Dash (Ages 2 - 10)\n\nKids ages 2 - 10 can participate in a 500M "Express Lane Kids Dash" before the race.\n\n \n\n5K Walk/Run:\n\nThe top 3 overall male and female runners will receive a medal\n\nThe top runners in each bracket will receive an award (overall winners are not eligible for age group medals):\n\n13 & under\n\n14 - 19\n\n20 - 29\n\n30 - 39\n\n40 - 49\n\n50 - 59\n\n60 - 69\n\n70 & over\n\n?\n\n2K Walk:\n\n2K Walkers will receive participant medals!\n\nRace entry includes: bib\, T-shirt\, participant medal and a post race snack for all runners!\n\nRegister as a team and recruit your friends\, colleagues and family members to join you!
